Our bid budget forecasts a healthy surplus, demonstrating that ICOPA 2026 would be financially viable in Sydney and would generate revenue to support the Federation’s important activities.
Sydney's bid budget
In planning of our bid, we have prepared a detailed bid budget based on 1700 delegates attending ICOPA 2026 in Sydney. Our major congress expenses are based on the venue requirements provided by the Federation's appointed Professional Conference Organiser (PCO), Kenes Group.
Sydney’s bid budget allows for:
· Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea for all delegates
· A ticket to the welcome reception for all delegates
· 200 complimentary registrations for sponsors, invited speakers and volunteers.
· Confirmed Government funding
· A conservative estimate of industry sponsorship
· 10% levy returned to the Federation to fund future activities
Our bid budget forecasts a healthy surplus, demonstrating that ICOPA 2026 would be financially viable in Sydney and would generate revenue to support the Federation’s important activities.
The Australian Society for Parasitology has secured additional funding:
· towards delivering the ICOPA Outreach & Education program.
· towards providing travel grants for delegates from developing nations.
Proposed registration fees
Sydney's proposed regular registration fees allow for a minimal increase on the fees charged for ICOPA 2018 in Daegu. Our proposed fees for students have been reduced to ensure that attendance at ICOPA XVI is affordable for delegates at all career stages.
